Kerala University Distance Education University of Travancore — later renamed the University of Kerala — was established in 1937 by Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the Maharaja of Travancore, making it India’s 16th university. Kerala University Distance Education Admission Eligibility

For B.Lib.I.Sc (UG):

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 40% marks from the University of Kerala or any other university.
  • Duration: 1 year (2 semesters).
  • Medium: English only.

For PG programmes (M.Lib.I.Sc, MSc Computer Science, MSc Mathematics):

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university, generally with 40%–45% marks.
  • M.Lib.I.Sc requires a B.Lib.I.Sc or equivalent.

General:
